Sutton Primary School’s New Playground Markings for Fun and Fitness

We were very happy to help Sutton Primary School in Ely, Cambridgeshire, with fitting some brand-new playground markings to help them with their sports and fitness.

What Did This Primary School Require?

This was one of our smaller projects, but it wasn’t any less fun or exciting to get done for the kids. Sutton Primary School was after a bespoke Netball Court to help teach the kids a fun new sport for PE. This is likely to help many of the kids later too, when they go off to secondary school and will be expected to play the game in more PE lessons and at a higher level.

The bespoke part came in the fact that the lines marking out the court are bright red, rather than standard yellow. This didn’t add any more money to the project, however; these playground markings cost the same as those you’ll find on our website.

Did We Face Any Difficulties?

The main delay faced was one we’re all familiar with here in the UK: inclement weather. The rain the day we were due to arrive was so hard, that we were unable to finish the work on the day we’d originally planned. This resulted in us having to move the installation to another date, which meant more travel time for our team. 

The other challenge was, of course, having to make the lines of the sports court red. But this is also something that we worked through and were able to overcome, resulting in a bright new spot for the school’s pupils to learn to play.

We’re glad and proud that the school is enjoying the work our team completed for them, especially after the delays getting started due to the unpredictable weather. We’re also happy to say that the work should last for years to come – although we look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future!
